Artist's statement:
"Amidst continuously escalating violence against trans people in so-called Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and around the world, my purpose with photography is to capture the immutable reality of trans existence. My ongoing long-form project THE NEVERENDING BURDENS OF LOVE seeks to document the intricacies of my chosen family and local trans community over the course of several years. With this specific selection, I have sought to communicate both the profound weariness and stubborn joy that my loved ones are experiencing in this moment. No matter what resources are deployed towards our wholesale elimination, trans people have been and will remain."
